12 Gallagher Lane announces representation of Artist Dudley Zopp

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 7, 2011) – 12 Gallagher Lane is announcing representation of Artist Dudley Zopp and her addition to the art salon’s Visiting Artist Program.

“Zopp forges compelling analogs between fields of sand and the surface of paper or canvas; between rocks and pigment; and between the forces of nature and the tools of the painter,” describes artist and professor Mark Wethli at Bowdoin College. “Even her materials, graphite and “earth” colors (the product of rocks and soils that have been unearthed, processed, and finely ground into pigments)—subtly connect the physical elements of her art to their subject.”

“Dudley’s work evokes a stream of tranquility while still challenging the mind to explore,” says Salon Director Derek Cabaniss. “Upon the first meeting with Dudley I wanted to know more — her artwork captured my curiosity while stimulating my senses. I feel she will be an outstanding addition to the San Francisco art scene and I look forward to providing the platform for that introduction.”

12 Gallagher Lane will present an Artist Introduction and Private Reception in June 2012.
