SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 20, 2011) 12 Gallagher has been awarded 2011 ‘Best of’ by California Meetings + Events Magazine for Northern California. The Best Of awards are designed to honor the ‘best of’ in the regional meetings and events industry.
“We are so honored for this acknowledgement in only our second year here in San Francisco’s SoMa district,” says Salon Director Derek Cabaniss. “We are truly honored by the support of our clients and patrons and our unique collaborations with our artists that have
contributed greatly to our success.”
The awards are a celebration of the hard work and above-and-beyond service of suppliers who help planners be at the top of their game. Readers determine the winners — every vote in each category is influential and important. Every winner in the annual Readers’ Choice Best Of Award campaign is hand-picked by the meeting planners, event planners and suppliers who read California Meetings + Events magazine. With plantation shutters and lively colors, the exterior of 12 Gallagher Lane is reminiscent of Artist Hunt Slonem’s two restored plantation homes in Louisiana – Albania and Lakeside. Inside the space, period pieces such as Roman marble bathtub, a Baccarat chandelier, ancient sculptures, and a 1929 gilded piano complement the ebonized white oak floors. The building once housed a 77-foot Keith Haring mural and a Catholic Gymnasium. Awardwinning, San Rafael-based EDG Interior Architecture + Design is the firm responsible for the redesign of the art salon.
Hours for 12 Gallagher Lane are Wednesday through Saturday 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Monday & Tuesday by Appointment.
