SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 5, 2011) 12 Gallagher Lane is announcing the representation on Artist James Jarrett and his addition to the salon’s Visiting Artist Program.
The artists featured in 12 Gallagher Lane express a joining of worlds — James Jarrett is no exception. His use of mixed media creates rich color palettes and a complex layering of texture. The vibrance and material weave of the works evoke an emotional response from the viewer as well as invites them to explore the physical make-up of the compositions. Influenced and inspired by the galleries and museums throughout the five years he spent in Europe, Jarrett returned to the United States with an urge to connect realistic and impressionist styles with his original love for abstract expressionism. His distinctive style led him to his artist residency at Steel Gallery in 2003.
“While James’ work complements the aesthetic style of 12 Gallagher Lane, his works stand out in its simplicity and form,” explains Salon Director Derek Cabaniss. “We will honor his classic approach, while presenting a new direction from James Jarrett — his work is just as powerful when color is taken out of the equation and replaced with bold lines and textures.”
12 Gallagher Lane will present an Artist Introduction and Private Reception in January 2012 by invitation only. Please contact info@12gallagherlane.com for more information.
Hours for 12 Gallagher Lane are Wednesday through Saturday 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Monday & Tuesday by Appointment.
